Your donation truly means more than I can fully express, and I want you to know that it has made a real and immediate difference for my students. Every day, I get to witness firsthand how excited they are to use our new tools during creative play time. The moment these materials were introduced, their eyes lit up with curiosity and enthusiasm, and that excitement has not faded. In fact, it grows stronger each day as they discover new ways to explore, create, and learn.\r\nThese tools have quickly become a favorite part of our classroom routine. My students eagerly look forward to creative play time because it gives them an opportunity to express themselves, collaborate with peers, and use their imaginations in ways that support both social and academic growth. I have watched students who are typically hesitant become more confident as they experiment with building, designing, and problem-solving. Others have shown incredible teamwork skills, sharing ideas and working together to bring their creative visions to life.\r\nWhat has impressed me most is how inventive the students have become. They are not just using the materials as intended—they are thinking outside the box, combining tools, inventing games, and creating projects I never would have imagined. These moments of creativity foster critical thinking, communication, and perseverance, all while the students believe they are simply playing. It is a powerful reminder that meaningful learning often happens through joyful exploration.\r\nThe tools are so popular, in fact, that I sometimes have to hide them when they are not in use because the students constantly ask for them! Their excitement speaks volumes about how engaging and meaningful these materials are for them. It is rare to find resources that capture and hold students' attention so completely, and your generosity has provided exactly that.\r\nBeyond the excitement and fun, your donation has helped create a classroom environment where students feel inspired and valued. Having access to high-quality materials shows them that their learning experiences matter and that there are people who believe in their potential. That message is incredibly powerful for young learners and helps build confidence, motivation, and a love of school.\r\nPlease know that your kindness extends far beyond the materials themselves. You have contributed to moments of laughter, collaboration, creativity, and growth that happen every single day in our classroom. My students and I are deeply grateful for your support, and we will continue to use these tools to learn, create, and imagine together. Thank you again for making such a meaningful impact on our classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1766071485287,"projectUrl":"project/sel-toys/9948948/","projectTitle":"SEL toys","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harper","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10098473"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_66457","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":410,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":82,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":42.9,"schoolId":66457,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Starr Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Starr Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/plainwell-community-schools/starr-elementary-school/66457"}
