We have a community of over 650 students in our K-5 school. In addition to utilizing books for our library lessons, all students checkout books to take home throughout the week. Books are increasingly expensive and difficult to replace on our limited budget. \r\n\r\n We are so thankful to have received the book-repair machine and supplies that allow us to re-bind books, replace pages that have fallen out, and recover books allowing for them to be read and loved a bit longer! Students of all ages are now on the lookout for books in need of repair and eagerly bring it over to our \"Book Hospital\" so that it can receive assistance. It has become a great lesson in respecting our materials and avoiding a 'throw-away' mentality!\r\n\r\n The Cricut machine and label maker have allowed us to create signage so that all of our students can find what they are looking for, or even discover something new that they didn't know exited! Increased visibility has contributed to increased engagement- which increases LEARNING!
