Your gift has already made a meaningful impact on our middle school community. When we had the first chance to use them the students were very excited for the new additions of games and the variety that they have not seen before! \r\n\r\nThese games have provided our students with fun, engaging opportunities to connect with one another, especially during indoor recess and times when other spaces are unavailable. They've helped foster important social skills—like cooperation, communication, and empathy—in a way that's both enjoyable and enriching.\r\n\r\nThe staff that supervise this time enjoyed watching the students engage meaningfully with each other and it was heart warming to watch very innocent and cooperative experiences between our students. The staff also jumped in at times to engage with these games as well which helps foster those important connections between teachers and students as well.","fullyFundedDate":1755878073503,"projectUrl":"project/game-time-for-growth-strengthening-soci/9453374/","projectTitle":"Game Time for Growth: Strengthening Social Skills and Peer Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Purtell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10073747"},{"teacherId":9101585,"projectId":9300157,"letterContent":"My students absolutely loved reading Ghost as a class novel. The binder clips are a small but mighty addition, helping students stay organized and manage their materials more effectively. \r\n\r\nYour contribution has not only provided us with much needed resources but also reminded my students and me that there are people who care deeply about education and student success. The girls' program has grown from 20-30 girls trying out to now 70+. It is a bit overwhelming at tryouts but truly rewarding to have generated such excitement for a sport at my middle school. This 2024 season our Athletic Administrator authorized the creation of a second team with a second coach. Now the power net will be used not only by 16-18 players but 32-36 players in the Fall moving forward. Our boys' volleyball is building each year and for the past three years at their coach we have had 18-20 players on the team with about 30 trying out. With the power net, my student-athletes will be able to hone their skills in a fun and developmental way. With a middle school student population of approximately 30-40% language learners, I am excited to offer the opportunity for my students to see themselves outside the classroom and on the volleyball court as well as use \"new\" equipment with the power net to help them achieve their goals. My personal goals for both the girls' and boys' teams include team-building, developing fundamental skills, and having FUN. I believe the power net will help me fulfill these goals at my middle School.","fullyFundedDate":1729622837674,"projectUrl":"project/academics-meets-athletics/8871723/","projectTitle":"Academics Meets Athletics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Salley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9800810"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63810","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":989,"numTeachers":78,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":56,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"12.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.9,"schoolId":63810,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Stacy Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Stacy Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/milford-public-school-district/stacy-middle-school/63810"}
