We use them to communicate, take required assessments, and play a variety of learning games. They are also sometimes used as a reward when they complete their work. We have also practiced using the iPads to take pictures/videos.\r\n\r\nThe students love having a variety of options to complete a given task.\r\n\r\nOne of my students uses one of these iPads as a communication device when his is broken not charged. These items are used on a daily basis and we keep adding out our collection. I am extremely grateful for those that were able to give and help us fund our project. The kiddos were excited to start taking turns using the chair and fuzzy rug throughout the day - it was also nice to be able to re-stuff our classroom bean bag that desperately needed it. I cannot believe that we raised the money for these items so quickly. It's truly a testament to the amazing families that I have the privilege to work with this school year, as well as the strangers who didn't even know our faces but were willing to give!\r\n The barrel chair and fuzzy rug have allowed more students to have a fun place to sit each day and read their books. Every day they beg to use the chair and rug and I have to keep a list of names so that everyone gets an equal amount of turns each week! These two items have added so much daily joy and comfort to my classroom!\r\n As adults, we know that reading opens up a whole new world full of adventure, imagination and learning! I remember as a kid, getting the chance to get away from my desk and into the comfy reading corner was one of the best parts of the day.
