The school office called and told me it had been delivered. I immediately sent four students down to \"collect a package\" for me. We were all so excited when those student came in the doorway carrying the new classroom rug! We immediately unrolled it and placed it face down on the floor to safely unroll flat over the weekend. On Monday, the rug was ready for use. \r\n\r\nThe students are so happy to have a safe and comfy place to sit during floor time. This week, student have sat on the floor to read during silent reading time, to watch CNN10 for current events, to work on an art project, and to listen to me read them Little House in the Big Woods. Students at fifth grade are certainly not too old for floor time, and my students have shown that this week. This laptop has been used for NWEA testing, ESGI testing, and STAR testing. This laptop has tested approximately 17 students and used appr. 170 times this past year. \r\n\r\nMy students are excited when they can use this laptop because it is fast and it doesn't quit in the middle of testing. They love it because it is new and works well. \r\n\r\nI have students that this laptop has been a great accommodation for. It is touch screen so students that are not as efficient in fine motor can use the touch screen feature.
