The bean bag chairs created an instant sense of calm and safety—students often comment on how the room feels like a place where they can truly relax and refocus.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, their reactions were immediate and genuine. Many were excited to try the fidgets and gravitated toward the new materials without hesitation. Others were drawn to the new books on mental health and began asking thoughtful questions, sparking meaningful conversations about anxiety, emotions, and coping skills. Even the snacks and breakfast bars have made a noticeable difference—students who come in hungry are now able to focus, feel cared for, and engage more fully in their day.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to play a vital role in our counseling lessons and small group work. We continue to build our counseling program around emotional regulation, self-awareness, and coping strategies. Using the books and hands-on tools you provided will be of great value. The bulletin board will highlight important school information, mental health awareness, and student-created content, helping to normalize conversations around feelings and well-being. The mental health posters are a great guide for students to look at to help identify their emotions. They also have a a number of coping strategies to look at to help them through tough times.
