Because of your generosity, my K–8 students in both general and special education are using these resources every day. Snacks help students stay focused, while the social-emotional games, breathing tools, sensory items, and flexible floor seating give students choices to help regulate their emotions as well as bodies. This helps to make sure they're ready to learn. One of the most meaningful moments has been seeing students independently choose a calming strategy and successfully see their progress!\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited. The new flexible seating and sensory items immediately made the classroom feel more welcoming and safe. The students couldn't wait to try the games and tools to help support their feelings and learning. Many students expressed that the classroom felt more comfortable and that they felt supported knowing these new resources were available to them!\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom continues to grow as a space that supports both academic learning and emotional well-being. Myself and the students will keep using the whiteboard, games, and regulation tools during social emotional lessons focused on communication, problem-solving, and self-management.
