Through playful exploration, they make predictions (for example if something will fall) and then test those ideas, building both curiosity and problem-solving skills. Magnets also spark imaginative play; students use them in centers to move objects across a table like \"magic,\" create races with magnet-powered cars, build the arctic, farms, jungles, etc. or design pretend fishing games. This playful learning naturally leads to rich conversations, collaboration, and laughter, while still building an understanding of scientific concepts.
