It has truly made such a difference!\r\n\r\nBefore this project, we honestly did not have the funds to replace our headphones. The ones we had were worn out and broken, and as new students joined our class, it became even harder to make it work. Now, every student has their own set, and it has completely changed our technology time. They can hear clearly, stay focused, and work more independently, especially during reading and phonics activities.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest things is how happy the students are. They each have their own headphones, and they got to pick the color they wanted. I was also lucky to receive another box from a different donor, so students had multiple options to choose from. That little bit of choice made it feel really special for them, and they take pride in using and taking care of their headphones.\r\n\r\nThe over the chair pocket organizers have been just as amazing. I had been using small baskets that I bought myself, and they were constantly falling over and spilling everywhere. I even hand made and laminated numbers to try to keep things organized. These new organizers are sturdy, have great pockets, and the rainbow colors match our classroom perfectly. It looks better, feels calmer, and most importantly, the students feel organized and confident finding their things.\r\n\r\nThe tiles have also added so much fun. Now more students can join in on activities at the same time, especially during tabletop work and indoor recess. It has been so fun to see them working together and enjoying learning in new ways.\r\n\r\nOverall, our classroom feels more organized, more functional, and just happier. Your generosity truly filled a need that we could not have met on our own, and I am so grateful for the impact you have made on my students every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you again so much 💛","fullyFundedDate":1771464191582,"projectUrl":"project/organize-1st-grade/10099851/","projectTitle":"Organize 1st Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ullrich","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10436687_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1771478397912","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10436687"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77169","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":62,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":77169,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Spring Valley Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Spring Valley Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/raytown-school-district-c2/spring-valley-elementary-school/77169"}
