Every day since then, at least one of them asked me when the rug would be arriving. So when it did come, they were so excited. We worked as a team to unroll it from its packaging and position it correctly. For the next few days, they asked me how to say some of the pictures on the rug in English, like \"necklace,\" \"key,\" and \"umbrella,\" so it has been a great learning tool. \r\nNow during circle time, I can tell them to \"sit on the __,\" and I can see their minds working as they search for it. I sometimes even have them choose a card from a deck with a picture or word or letter from the rug on it, they read their card aloud, and find their corresponding seat.
