We have even used it to do math problems during study hall! \r\n\r\n When the box was brought in, students were intrigued and very excited to help me put it together. With the help of some super strong and determined pupils, we were able to get the board set up the very day it came in. We have used it every single day since it has come and they are more than eager to model their understanding and participate in class. \r\n\r\nMy next step is to use the board for a personal memoir example as students begin a writing project.","fullyFundedDate":1756863052279,"projectUrl":"project/student-led-classroom/9672195/","projectTitle":"Student-Led Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Burks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10236380"},{"teacherId":4371872,"projectId":9243160,"letterContent":"We are so excited and thankful for the funding of our button project! Now our microscopes are stored safely and in one place, which makes it much easier for students to get them out and put them away without worrying about damage. When the cabinets first arrived, students were quick to notice how much neater our science area looked. We have already used them during our cell observation activity, where students were able to find and set up their microscopes quickly, giving them more time to focus on their slides. This project will have a significant and lasting impact on my students with disabilities by providing them with essential tools to enhance their learning experience. Access to a classroom set of headphones will ensure that all students can engage fully with their assignments, minimizing distractions and allowing them to focus on their individualized learning needs.\r\n\r\nFor students with intellectual disabilities and specific learning disabilities, auditory learning is a critical component of comprehension and engagement. Having reliable headphones will support their ability to access digital lessons, listen to instructional materials, and complete assignments more effectively. Additionally, the availability of shared headphones for achievement testing will help create a more equitable testing environment, reducing barriers and giving students the resources they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, this project acknowledges and supports students' enthusiasm for learning. By equipping them with the tools necessary for success, it reinforces their sense of inclusion, independence, and confidence in the classroom.
