I have already created a section in my classroom just for them to be able to display their authored and Illustrated stories. Students that don't typically like to read or write have become excited knowing that they're very own story is going to be printed and laminated. My students that love to draw have gotten excited with wanting to illustrate for other students' stories as well. Within just a few pages we were having a discussion about the historical context the characters were experiencing at the time in the novel. When we had to stop reading because class was over my students were upset with having to stop and were immediately asking if we are going to be able to continue reading tomorrow.
