Our students were very excited to see the machine and materials arrive and were anxious to get started. They immediately pulled it out and with the help of their teachers began to put the parts together. The students enjoyed following the instructions and working together constructing the wood cutting machine. They are figuring out all the features and the correct way to use it, so that it benefits their wreath making efforts.\r\n\r\n The classroom is currently working on wreaths for our Fall festival and the wood cutting machine is helping to put a personal touch on every wreath. We have created some unique wreaths, and the wood cutter allows us to be more creative with our planning and design. Our next step is to master the wood cutting machine and understand all its unique features so it can help us improve the quality and creative vision of each design. We will continue to expand and master our efforts and because of your help we are able to think beyond the realms of possibility when it comes to design and production.","fullyFundedDate":1746783019226,"projectUrl":"project/a-cut-above/9211078/","projectTitle":"\"A Cut Above\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Boyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4123027_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1505328473591","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4123027"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15744","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2200,"numTeachers":144,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":87,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":15744,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Southwest High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Southwest High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/southwest-independent-school-district/southwest-high-school/15744"}
