My students loved reading the new book and were excited to illustrate their writing using the strategy from the book. Many of them were very excited to learn how to use shapes to draw objects and make their pictures more detailed. This lesson worked out great to align with our math lessons about how to draw shapes. It was fun to watch the excitement of my students as they saw the simplicity of drawing things using shapes. The students enjoy using the white boards during lessons to help with engagement and practice phonics spelling patterns. I have begun to read the Writing Revolution book in parts that align with what I am currently working on teaching in the classroom. I am eager to dive in and read the books this summer. Thank you for your generosity in helping to get new resources for my students to enjoy this year and in years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1771257641849,"projectUrl":"project/write-all-about-it/10019019/","projectTitle":"Write All About It","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ingram","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp115402_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659824441131","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kristi-ingram"},{"teacherId":8999325,"projectId":10019257,"letterContent":"I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible impact your donations have had on my classroom and my special education students. Thanks to your generosity, we now have hands-on materials that significantly enhance our learning environment. The challenging and engaging roller coaster activities and STEM cards have quickly become favorites among my students, sparking their curiosity and encouraging critical thinking as they collaborate to solve problems. Your donations have also played a crucial role in reinforcing literacy; incorporating occupational therapy aspects, such as letter hunts and letter finds, allows students to develop their literacy skills in a playful and meaningful way, making learning enjoyable and accessible for all. The letter block building materials have been a huge hit, enabling students to express their creativity while enhancing their understanding of letters and words. As we approach the end of the school year, we are excited to utilize the floating letters and numbers during our water day, providing an engaging way to reinforce math and literacy skills. Your support has allowed us to create differentiated math and literacy stations tailored to meet the diverse needs of my students, ensuring that every child can thrive, regardless of their learning style or ability. Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity; your contributions have enriched our classroom resources and made a lasting impact on my students' educational experiences. They are profoundly grateful for the opportunities your donations provide, and I am excited to see how these materials will continue to inspire their learning journeys.","fullyFundedDate":1772056602797,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-minds-on-learning-for-every-ab/10019257/","projectTitle":"Hands-On, Minds-On Learning for Every Ability","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bailey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8999325_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y14&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768317239393","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8999325"},{"teacherId":9347915,"projectId":9720700,"letterContent":"My garden club participants were ecstatic to see all the bags of dirt they could use to continue cultivating the school garden. We recently used the materials during our Swinging Bridges Challenge, where first graders applied their knowledge of the Incan Civilization to design and build bridges connecting one table to another using popsicle sticks, tape, and yarn. With these new supplies, students could explore real engineering concepts in a hands-on, meaningful way.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with pure curiosity and joy. They immediately began imagining how they could twist yarn like the Incas' ropes or layer popsicle sticks for strength. The room buzzed with ideas and teamwork as groups planned, tested, and improved their designs. For many, it was the first time they truly saw themselves as engineers and creators.\r\n\r\nNext, students will take what they learned about bridge-building and apply it to a new challenge—designing sturdy towers that can hold weight. They'll continue to strengthen their collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills as they experiment with balance and stability. Thanks to your support, our young engineers are discovering that with imagination, teamwork, and the right materials, they can build anything they dream up.","fullyFundedDate":1746785361210,"projectUrl":"project/building-strong-foundations-a-popsicle/9326308/","projectTitle":"Building Strong Foundations: a Popsicle Stick Bridge Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morrison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9347915_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y796&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698843814668","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9347915"},{"teacherId":115402,"projectId":9036046,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating books to my classroom library.
