They can safely cut, explore, and construct with cardboard using this tool. This machine is surprisingly easy to use, and best of all, completely safe for little hands. Kids are able to create freeform cuts that they would not have been able to create with scissors on their own, and would have been less safe attempting to do so. With the chomp tool, the sky is really the limit. During health ed, the boys and girls are separated and taught by our school nurse. While the school nurse had one group, we taught the other group about personal hygiene using these resources. It was so enlightening! I couldn't believe how many of my students didn't realize they had to wash the backs of their hands! Some students had to wash their hands 4 or 5 times to get all the \"germs\" off. It was the same for teeth brushing - some couldn't believe they weren't brushing as well as they thought.
