It's amazing to see how much more they understand and remember when they can connect the myths in the book to the culture and beliefs of ancient civilizations. Our class discussions have become more thoughtful and livelier, and students are making connections between what they read and what we study every day.\r\n\r\nWhat's even more special is how these books have turned many of my reluctant readers into enthusiastic ones. Students who used to avoid reading now beg for \"just one more chapter.\" They're sharing theories, asking questions, and some are even exploring other books about mythology on their own.
