I started this program at the PreK through 5 level because I recognized a need. I see it every day in the classroom. I would purchase snacks to have in my room so students wouldn't go hungry until lunch. We started the Snack Shack so teachers could request snacks for those students who don't bring in snacks consistently. Many teachers participated in this initiative, and we were able to provide snacks to those who needed them. Teachers spend so much money out of pocket because they have to. Schools provide the \"basics\" but parents are required to provide the rest. When that is not possible, Ram Runway Jr steps in. In addition to snacks, we provide clothes, shoes, toiletries, and school supplies.
