This is something that I really wanted to make possible. It is necessary for students to be focus and on task in order for them to reach their full potential and learn. However, it is difficult if they are worried and distracted about being hungry.\r\n\r\nHonestly, the items started arriving in big boxes. At first, the students weren't sure what it was. It was wonderful to see their face expression when they realize the snacks belong to them. They knew were they could get it and they didn't disrupt the lesson. It worked well, I noticed less students going out of the classroom to get a snack. They were focus on their lessons and engaged in class discussions with peers and class. Another cart and table baskets were added. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for you donations, I think we met the goal of providing accessible snacks to help them stay focus, engaged, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1741897028141,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-to-empower-and-succeed/9150238/","projectTitle":"Snacks to Empower and Succeed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cardenas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7495051_orig.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741484823222","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7495051"},{"teacherId":6860839,"projectId":8806788,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has been buzzing with excitement over the addition of our versatile hot dog/ice cream play cart—and we couldn't be more grateful! This vibrant cart has become a favorite feature in our dramatic play area. Students love taking turns as vendors and customers, enthusiastically preparing orders, assembling ice cream sandwiches, or serving up the perfect hot dog. These playful interactions are building real-world learning experiences as the children develop their early math, oral language, and interpersonal skills.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of this cart is that it's movable, allowing us to take our learning outdoors! Whether we're rolling it out to the playground for a sunny-day \"food truck\" experience or setting up a cozy ice cream stand in the shade, the cart is helping extend learning beyond the classroom walls. The children have absolutely loved all the experiences they have had learning about aviation. The books and materials you have so generously provided have become favorites in our classroom. \r\n\r\nSo many opportunities for learning about math, science, technology have arisen from questions the students have as they read and explore the topics of aviation, airplanes, and flight. Students have taken the initiative to track the number of planes that fly over our school during a short period of time using tally marks. They are noticing details about the types of planes beyond color and size; they have conversations about the position and shape of the wings or the jet's engines. This inquiry based learning has enhanced their language acquisition and vocabulary development.\r\n\r\nThey also really enjoyed painting their very own wooden airplanes during the winter holiday season. It was like a scene out Santa's Workshop with the students selecting their favorite colors and decorating their planes in their own style. The small pull-back planes and keepsake aviation key chains were also included as favors in each child's winter holiday stocking adding to the joy of the season. \r\n\r\nThe stomp rockets have and continue to bring an exciting element to our outdoor learning centers for all three of our Transitional Kindergarten classes. The joy and excitement as the students watch the plane/rockets loop, turn, and glide after launch is contagious. Some students have even remarked that they want to become pilots when they grow up.\r\n\r\nNone of this learning would have been possible without your support. Thank you for sparking joy and excitement as we create lasting memories for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1730502224664,"projectUrl":"project/come-fly-with-me-soaring-into-the-futur/8904315/","projectTitle":"Come Fly With Me!
