My students will engage in cooperative play while learning STEM concepts. They will also learn and explore shapes and colors through building a variety of structures from simple to complex composite shapes. They will develop language skills necessary for their academic studies through communicating with their peers. In addition to language skills, they will use their creativity to explore and create new structures. They will learn about magnets and how to cooperatively build structures. In addition to working in cooperative groups, they will have opportunities to create structures individually. The magnets provide an easy way to manipulate shapes for young students and engage them in the learning process.
