We started with the analyzing the lyrics to the Simon and Garfunkel classic song, \"I am a Rock.\" This song is an excellent springboard for discussing the type of person who prefers to be alone, which is similar to how the main character Christopher feels about being around other people.\r\n\r\nThe students enjoyed reading at home to prepare for our in class discussions about how humans navigate life through adversity.
