The materials you helped provide for social-emotional learning (SEL)such as books, flexible seating options, and coping skills games have made a meaningful impact on how students learn, grow, and navigate their emotions each day.\r\n\r\nThe new SEL books will open the door to powerful conversations around emotions, friendships, empathy, and resilience. We will use these stories to help students build vocabulary around their feelings, understand different perspectives, and learn healthy ways to express themselves. These texts are more than just books they are tools that teach life skills in a way that's accessible, engaging, and relatable. \r\n\r\nThe coping skills games will become a favorite part of our classroom routine, I am sure! Whether used during morning meetings, brain breaks, or quiet times, these games will provide students with fun, hands-on ways to learn strategies for managing stress, practicing mindfulness, and building self-regulation. They will also help create a classroom culture where talking about mental health is normalized and supported. \r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, our classroom isn't just a place to learn academics, it's a place where students feel seen, supported, and excited to come each day.
