One moment that stands out was during a longer literacy lesson when students were working to read and discuss a passage. Having a healthy snack available allowed them to stay engaged through the entire lesson without losing focus or becoming distracted by hunger. Instead of asking when the next break would be or to leave the room to get a drink in the hallway, students were able to concentrate, collaborate, and complete their work with confidence. These small moments add up and make a big difference in how smoothly our day flows.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snacks, their reactions were filled with excitement and gratitude. They smiled, shared with their classmates, and expressed how happy they were to have something to help them get through the day. For some students, knowing that a snack is available provides comfort and reassurance, allowing them to focus more fully on learning. It was clear that this resource made them feel supported and cared for, which has positively impacted the overall classroom environment. Some students who were previously hesitant to come into the classroom, are not eagerly entering to see which snacks are on rotation each day.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using this added support as they work through upcoming academic lessons and hands-on learning activities. With their basic needs met, they are better prepared to tackle new challenges, participate actively in discussions, and build confidence in their skills. They have used it since then when they make artpiece projects. My students in the course color and design were delighted with the laminator machine, they made wonderful painted bookmarks. My students are using the table top easles that makes them more comfortable when they paint and had a better visual on what they are painting. They were very excited and happy upon using all the donated materials. \r\nThank you very much for all of your support!
