Having calming items like beanbag chairs and weighted lap pads makes the room a place students can go to relax and regulate their emotions. The sensory sandboxes are a big hit, especially with the youngest students. The gel-filled mats are fun too! Students like to sit on the wobble cushions and rest their feet on the chair bands. The times are a great way to keep track of the time for small groups and when to go back to class. It has been incredible to see what these young artists are able to make when they have the proper supplies. \r\n\r\nECE and kindergarten artists have been using the felt board and felt shapes to engage in art making centers throughout the week. When they first saw their new materials, their faces lit up with joy to see something so fun and engaging waiting for them! \r\n\r\nThank you for caring and loving on students in Denver Public Schools.
