The students came together during lunch time to complete the project, I was able to bring out the box with all the supplies purchased with the generous donations I received for this project. The students were excited to have such an array of items to use to make their posters and flyers.\r\n\r\nI am confident that these students, as well as other student groups, will use these items on a regular basis to make posters for the various activities we hold for our student body. With school budgets being particularly tight this year, your contribution was invaluable, allowing us to immediately restart our printers and restore the buzz of activity and creation. The students' excitement was tangible from the moment we unboxed the spools. This simple resource was the missing piece that turned our 3D printers from dormant equipment back into powerful tools for hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nStudents immediately dove into projects, designing and printing a variety of objects, including popular items like fidgets and spinning tops. While these creations may seem simple, they represent a crucial first step: turning a digital idea into a physical object they can hold. This process has successfully piqued their interest in the \"how\" behind the creation, leading many to ask questions about the underlying coding and design principles needed to make their own unique items from scratch.\r\n\r\nThis initial wave of successful prints has done more than just produce fun gadgets; it has rebuilt momentum and confidence. Students are learning the essential skills of persistence and problem-solving as they fine-tune settings and troubleshoot prints. Your support has been the catalyst, transforming our classroom back into a functioning makerspace where students see themselves as creators. They are now equipped and inspired to move on to more complex challenges, ready to design the future.","fullyFundedDate":1755708471955,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k12-education/9619768/","projectTitle":"USBE AI for K–12 Education","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Chandler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2921268"},{"teacherId":10224623,"projectId":9651477,"letterContent":"The impact of these resources is already proving helpful to my students. As a counselor, I'm always looking for fidget resources in my office for students to physically work with. The magnets have been amazing and I've only had them a few days! I also just had a student sit in my wobble stool yesterday and she said she wish she could sit in one of them for each one of her classes. My kids have loved seeing the added color to my desk from the magnets and the added choices for pen colors when we are working on homework together. I am so appreciative of these resources and I am excited to see how they continue to positively impact students as I work with them.","fullyFundedDate":1756835167184,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k12-education-blake-tubbs/9651477/","projectTitle":"USBE AI for K–12 Education - Blake Tubbs","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Tubbs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10224623"},{"teacherId":2921268,"projectId":6137866,"letterContent":"Students loved everything. Thanks so much.\r\n\r\nYour generous donation of 3D printer filament has been instrumental in reviving our hands-on STEM initiatives this year. In a time of tight budgets, receiving these materials allowed us to breathe new life into our makerspace, much to the delight of our students. The ability to start printing again has provided a powerful and immediate outlet for their creativity and curiosity.\r\n\r\nThe first projects have centered on creating small, functional items like custom fidgets and spinning objects. This initial success has proven to be a powerful motivator. It has provided students with a tangible sense of accomplishment and has sparked a deeper interest in the digital design process. They are beginning to move from simply downloading existing files to asking how they can modify them or create their own, which is the foundational step toward genuine innovation and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nMore importantly, every print—successful or not—is a learning opportunity. Students are gaining firsthand experience in troubleshooting, making fine-tune adjustments to the printers, and understanding the patience required to see a project through. These are the very skills of persistence and technical confidence we set out to build. Your support has provided not just the filament, but the chance for students to engage in the iterative process of creation and build a mindset geared toward innovation.","fullyFundedDate":1642954956073,"projectUrl":"project/much-needed-tech/6137866/","projectTitle":"Much Needed Tech","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Chandler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2921268"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32973","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1597,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":29,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":85.7,"schoolId":32973,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sky View High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sky View High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/cache-county-school-district/sky-view-high-school/32973"}
