My special education students' eyes lit up the moment they saw the boxes being unpacked, and they eagerly rushed over to explore the tactile and visual tools that your generosity made possible. Witnessing their pure curiosity, smiles, and immediate eagerness to touch and learn was an unforgettable moment that reminded me why hands-on learning is so transformative for young minds.  \r\n\r\nWe have already integrated these wonderful new resources into our daily routines, particularly during our high-intensity pull-out intervention sessions. The students are actively using tactile and visual tools—such as our pattern blocks, counting cubes, and literacy manipulatives—to make abstract concepts concrete. By physically manipulating pieces, matching patterns, and working through interactive letter and number exercises, my students are able to grasp foundational reading and math skills with newfound confidence and independence. Furthermore, these engaging tools provide essential sensory support that helps students regulate their focus, stay grounded, and maintain a positive mindset throughout the school day.  \r\n\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps involve building directly upon this momentum to deepen both academic mastery and fine motor growth. We are incorporating these materials into upcoming structured lessons that challenge students to extend their patterning, strengthen number sense, and apply phonics concepts in creative ways. Working in a very diverse school can be challenging but we've never seen anything like this. Families are terrified to leave their own homes. Children do not come to school out of fear. Our school district had to do an emergency opening of virtual school since hundreds of families are sheltering in place. \r\nAll of this has negative impacts on learning, but especially my learners who have learning disabilities. The burden to buy basic supplies and fun, educational projects falls upon the teachers. With so many students staying home, it has had an impact on basic supplies for the students who have decided to come to school. There is a much smaller pool of shared supplies that parents send with their children.\r\nPlease help me and my learners! They are dealing with so much pressure right now.
