Because of your support, students had access to materials like foam, bubble wrap, plastic eggs, tape, glue, parachutes, and even a Polaroid camera to capture the excitement.\r\n\r\nHaving a variety of hands-on materials allowed students to experiment, problem-solve, and apply what they've learned about gravity and kinetic energy in a real-world scenario. They worked in teams to design and build protective devices, testing their ideas and improving their designs with each trial.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited to test their creations and see if their eggs would survive the drop! Using the Polaroid camera to snap photos of their devices (and the sometimes messy results) made the experience even more memorable.\r\n\r\nSome students who don't usually shine in traditional classroom settings really came alive during this project. One student, who struggles with written work, led their group in building and testing prototypes. Another, who loves art, took charge of decorating the contraptions and documenting the process with the Polaroid camera. Every student found a way to contribute and be proud of their work.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this hands-on learning possible!","fullyFundedDate":1768715130340,"projectUrl":"project/eggheads-in-action-saving-bean-brains-f/10034027/","projectTitle":"Eggheads in Action: Saving Bean Brains from a Scrambled Fate!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wungnema","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8115904"},{"teacherId":10414099,"projectId":10045997,"letterContent":"On behalf of the Silver Stage middle school athletic department, I want to extend our sincere gratitude for your generous donation. The new printer has become an essential tool—students now have immediate access to reading passages, graphic organizers, and personalized learning materials that support their individual needs. Instead of waiting for copies or sharing limited resources, they can dive into their work right away, which has noticeably increased their engagement and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe reading materials you funded have opened new doors for my students. Many of them had never held books that matched their interests or reading levels, and now they eagerly reach for them during independent reading time. I've watched reluctant readers become curious explorers, asking questions, making connections, and proudly sharing what they've learned. \"Reading is power\" has become more than a slogan in our room—it's something they feel every day.\r\n\r\nThe chart paper stands and whiteboards have also changed the way we learn together. Students use them to brainstorm, solve problems, and present their thinking to the class. These tools make learning active and collaborative, and they've helped even my quietest students find their voice. Your support didn't just provide supplies—it created opportunities, built confidence, and helped my students see themselves as capable learners.
