The resources you helped provide—including the 2'5\" x 9'5\" area rug, executive desk, wall file organizer, colorful erasable pens, wooden wall décor, botanical artwork, and motivational artwork—have made a meaningful difference in our transition space. Before receiving these items, the room felt more like an empty workspace. Now, students walk into a warm, organized environment where they can sit down, talk about their futures, and work on important skills for life after high school.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching students notice the changes in the room for the first time. They were excited to see the rug, new desk, artwork, and organized file space, and several students commented that the room felt more comfortable and inviting. We are using the space for individual transition meetings, career exploration, resume building, goal setting, and conversations about employment, education, and independent living. The wall organizer helps keep student materials organized, while the desk provides a dedicated place for students to complete applications, career activities, and other transition-related work. The motivational artwork also helps reinforce the idea that students can set goals and work toward their own futures.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue helping students identify their strengths and interests, explore careers, practice workplace and communication skills, and develop individualized plans for life after graduation. Some students are preparing for employment, while others are exploring college, career training, or community-based opportunities.
