I am hopeful that these legos and other kits will continue to bring joy to my classroom for years to come. What a treasure to have been able to facilitate such empathy!\r\nThe wobble stool is durable enough for our middle school crowd. \r\nThe floor cushions and clipboards will allow us to get creative and flexible during certain activities and not be limited to our restrictive desk/chair combos. \r\nThe classroom decorations will make it feel like a happier environment to exist in. Greenery and alternative lighting are both so good for the brain!\r\nThis classroom is used by three different teachers for two middle school electives, middle school health, and high school career exploration. The room is more organized and with the new materials it is able to meet a variety of needs. A specific moment shared out doors working on our school garden was on a classic sunny/raining day on the Oregon coast. We put on our pants and coats and faced the day, laughing at every rain storm that passed overhead. When my students first saw the materials they reacted with enthusiasm and appreciation. The next steps for our students is to plant their own garden beds that they have cleaned and organized.
