Instead of rushing straight into academics, students explore hands-on building tools, problem-solving games, and creative challenges that strengthen collaboration, engineering thinking, and perseverance. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students work together to redesign a structure that kept falling — they encouraged each other, tested new ideas, and celebrated when it finally stood tall!\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces absolutely lit up. There were cheers, curiosity, and immediate teamwork as they began exploring the new resources. Even some of my quieter students jumped right in and found ways to participate and lead.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we are using these STEM bins to build skills that connect to our science and math units — planning designs, testing solutions, and reflecting on what works and what doesn't. Students are learning that mistakes are part of the process, and they're growing more confident every day as thinkers and problem solvers. Students are leaning different science by using hands on activities. \r\n\r\nWith the help from the color bins the students are learning there colors ( 3 years and MLL students) and knowing that each bin has a place for the toys in the classroom. \r\n\r\nWith the help from the animal building the students are using the magnetic clocks with the animals to make scenarios of their favorite movies.
