We study colors and have a whole unit on that theme. The color paddles and board were put in my science center for students to explore with. This allowed them to mix colors and identify colors. The kids loved this addition to the science center!\r\nThe insects and ocean animals in Resin were so fun to go with my insect and ocean unit! The students use magnifying glasses and explore these in the science center. Students study the parts of their body and try to identify the type of insect/animal. \r\nThese have helped bring my science center to life and students have loved these additions. My students were so excited to receive new items to play with in the dramatic play center and small groups. \r\nThe mix and match animals/dinosaurs were a huge hit with all my kids! They loved making funny animals using different body parts of other animals. They also thought it was so cool that they were magnetic!\r\nThe dramatic play items were fun for my students to imagine with as well. The mailbox goes perfectly with my post office dramatic play theme as well as at my writing center so students can send \"letters\" to people. The ice cream set goes great in our ice cream parlor theme and the cookies go with our Christmas hot cocoa and cookie theme. Getting these materials brought my dramatic play to life and allowed my students to really use their imagination and play together!\r\nThank you again for thinking of my classroom and being so generous. My students have loved having science materials to explore. I started a small science center after receiving the materials that students can go over to an explore when it's open. Students used the science viewers and were amazed by how realistic everything seemed. They fit in perfect with our insect unit and sea life unit. This was one of the most loved items in the science center!\r\nThe students loved looking at different x-rays during our health month as well. We do not have a light table so we used the windows and flashlights! Students were amazed that these x-rays were real!\r\nLastly, the magnet and sink/float kits were a hit as well! My students love anything with water and had fun guessing what items would sink or float. The magnets were also a hit and students found it fascinating what objects were magnetic and which were not.\r\nThank you so much for your donation to my classroom! These have made such a difference in my classroom! The students have been loving all the new materials. We have been learning our letters and sounds throughout the year. I have been able to put out playdoh with our new letter stampers. The students have been using them to spell out their names and make words. The alphabet beads have also been used a lot. Student's love spelling out their name and using their fine motor skills to bead them on the laces. The magnetic blocks were such a huge hit last time that I ordered more in this project! My students love to build with these and make all sorts of creations out of them! The tweezers I have been placing in my number trays for students to use with counting. They use them to pick up erasers, pom poms, beads, pasta and more to count. This has been a huge help with improving students fine motor skills.\r\nThe materials I received from this project have improved my centers so much! My students are loving all the new stuff and it is enhancing their learning! We have already put all of the materials into our weekly center rotations. My students absolutely love the alphabet stampers. We have used these with playdoh and in multiple ways. The students have used them to spell out their name and also at our letter table with the weekly letter. \r\n The suction cups are a favorite center with all the students. They love to stick them on the tables and floors. This is great for their fine motor skills and finger strength. I just recently introduced our flower garden materials. The students have loved making their gardens (especially with all the snow outside here!). Students love to talk about the colors and length of their flower gardens which ties in great to math.\r\n I added the magnetic blocks to our center collection (we had a small amount of magnetic blocks). The students have loved having enough to build their own towers with their friends and create different patterns with them.\r\n Lastly, the alphabet cars were very exciting (especially for our boys) to play with. Students love to put the tracks down in order and zoom the cars around. I have also seen students use the cars to spell out their name! All of these resources have added such fun and excitement to our room.
