My students were all excited and amazed when they saw it for the first time in our classroom! My students all love writing on it. During playtime, one of the most popular choices is being able to doodle on the board. I love being able to utilize it in all of my lessons! It makes teaching math, phonics, reading, and writing more engaging for me and the kids. I also love being able to store learning materials underneath the board. Instead of having to store things in random places, I now have the perfect spot to put all of my materials! Students were very excited and eager to learn more and more every day when they arrived. This project impacted students' learning by providing a variety of hands-on learning activities as well as many engaging experiences. We had daily observations and discussions about the developing embryos which made the learning experiences more interactive and memorable! Students were able to follow the development of the chicks and ducks from the embryo stage all the way to the hatching stage. Students learned firsthand about the physiological changes and the development. Learning the life stages, candling of the eggs, the piping of the eggs, the hatching of the eggs, and the caring for the live animals were definitely the favorite parts! Students gained a deeper understanding of the responsibility involved when caring for the live chicks and ducks.
