My students are awesome! They are hard working, kind, and eager to learn new things. I allow my students to be independent whenever possible. That creates an environment where they are in charge of their learning. They come up with questions and I aid them in finding the answers or provide resources for them to learn more about that specific topic. This independent learning motivates them to be engaged because they have some choice in their learning. Our school is small and has limited resources for classroom materials. We have no computers or technology for student use inside our classrooms. Often the teachers end up providing materials out of their own pocket. My students would benefit from using the iPads because there are so many different things an iPad do and provide. One device can act as a learning resource for reading, math, writing, phonics, science, social, and spelling. Instead of just buying or creating a math game that will only provide learning for one math topic.
