With your help, we've launched a free choice reading program across five (soon to be six!) Spanish classes, and it's already making a difference. \r\n\r\nThis project is about so much more than just reading practice—it's about building confidence, sparking curiosity, building cross-cultural understanding and helping students see themselves as capable, independent readers in another language. The variety of topics and levels allows students to make personal connections with the material and with cultures beyond their own. You've given them a bridge into stories and perspectives they might never have encountered otherwise, and for that, I am deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1755731340919,"projectUrl":"project/more-than-a-magazine/9504257/","projectTitle":"More than a Magazine","teacherDisplayName":"Sra. Because of your kindness, my students now have access to beginner-friendly Spanish readers that are already making a meaningful impact. We've started reading them together in class, and it's been a joy to see how engaged the students are - I am honestly surprised at how readily they have taken to the reading (they have complained about reading in the past), but that is an indication that the books are at the right level and are interesting, which you made happen! \r\n\r\nAs we continue reading, my goals are that this becomes not only a path to academic growth but also that they will develop a reading habit that supports empathy, curiosity, and even end up with another tool for stress reduction. Thank you for making this possible.
