You never know, we may have a future engineer or architect in my classroom. Thanks to you, I am able to give my students different mediums to create whatever is in their imaginations. At this age they love to build towers to knock down and castles. Today I had a student make an animal out of the magnet blocks (Which are a really big hit!) and have me guess what animal it was. He gave me clues, but stumped me. He made an alpaca. I was also able to add things for our winter unit explorations with the polar hide and seek and the playful penguin ice blocks.","fullyFundedDate":1772578763704,"projectUrl":"project/building-big-thinkers/9974086/","projectTitle":"Building Big Thinkers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harmon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1982646_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1549247357545","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/trisha-harmon"},{"teacherId":1982646,"projectId":10132541,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations that help to fund this project. Children learn best through play. In this project I asked for fun and engaging items for my students to practice letter recognition and letter sounds. The double sided magnet letter tiles are a great way for student to spelling their name, the names of their classmates, or words they see around the room. The treasure boxes are neat because they have to match the letter on the box to the letter on the key. Inside each treasure box is an item that starts with that letter.
