Many of my students struggle with anxiety, frustration, sensory needs, and maintaining focus during lessons. The stress balls and penguin pop balls provide students with a safe and calming outlet to release energy, reduce stress, and self-soothe during challenging moments. Instead of becoming overwhelmed or shutting down, students are learning how to independently use these tools to refocus and return to learning more successfully. These simple supports are helping create a calmer classroom environment where students feel more comfortable, confident, and ready to participate.\r\nThe laminating sheets have also made a tremendous impact on creating meaningful, adapted learning materials that meet the diverse needs of my students. By laminating task cards, visual supports, communication boards, and interactive assignments, students are able to repeatedly practice important skills using dry erase markers or Velcro pieces without materials wearing out quickly. These reusable resources allow for hands-on learning, repetition, and differentiation while also saving valuable classroom funds over time. Most importantly, laminated materials help make lessons more accessible, interactive, and engaging for students who benefit from visual and tactile learning experiences every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1778438148301,"projectUrl":"project/building-confidence-through-sensory-and/10219870/","projectTitle":"Building Confidence Through Sensory and Classroom Supports","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Livingston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10429353_orig.png?crop=343,343,x388,y330&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770312832167","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/learningwithlivingston"},{"teacherId":10429353,"projectId":10253675,"letterContent":"Technology has become a powerful tool in helping my students access learning in ways that are meaningful and appropriate for their individual needs. Using resources from Teacher Pay Teachers, I'm able to incorporate interactive activities, visual supports, and differentiated digital lessons that make content more engaging and easier to understand. For many of my students, especially those who struggle with reading or processing information, technology allows them to learn through visuals, audio, and hands-on interaction rather than relying solely on traditional text.\r\nWhat excites my students most is how interactive and personalized the materials feel. They enjoy being able to work at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and engage with content that feels more like a game than a task. I've seen particular growth in students who are typically hesitant or disengaged—they are more willing to participate and take risks when using these tools. Some of my emerging readers, for example, have especially connected with audio-supported activities and visual organizers, allowing them to build confidence and independence in ways that weren't as accessible before.","fullyFundedDate":1777985681436,"projectUrl":"project/differentiation-made-possible/10253675/","projectTitle":"Differentiation Made Possible!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Livingston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10429353_orig.png?crop=343,343,x388,y330&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770312832167","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/learningwithlivingston"},{"teacherId":10429353,"projectId":10085782,"letterContent":"Our flexible seating has completely transformed the way my students engage in the classroom. I noticed students who typically struggle to stay engaged were able to participate longer, share ideas more confidently, and remain comfortable while working. The flexibility has truly allowed them to take ownership of their learning environment.\r\nWhen my students first saw the new seating options, their excitement was immediate and genuine. There were smiles, cheers, and so many questions about when they could try everything. It created an instant sense of community and pride in our classroom. More importantly, they quickly began to understand that these tools weren't just \"fun,\" but were there to support their focus and learning needs.\r\nAs we move forward, we are continuing to build independence and self-awareness by helping students reflect on which seating choices help them learn best during different activities. We are currently working on collaborative projects and literacy centers, where students are applying these skills while practicing teamwork and communication.
