With the funding of the Little Spot read aloud books, activity books and take home books my students have been encouraged to focus on their emotions when working through tough social situations. We have been able to tap into further learning with the use of smaller groups to focus on differentiation amongst our kids and really meet the needs of the unique students in our learning community. The use of these stories and incentives has empowered our students to take charge of their learning and emotional experiences and future with these tools. Seeing them motivated and engaged to talk through emotions instead of showing their big feelings in a negative way has been exciting!\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your donation. We thank you that our students now have tools to help regulate their emotions to be able to focus more on their academic growth.","fullyFundedDate":1727450077306,"projectUrl":"project/a-little-spot-of-emotions/8512885/","projectTitle":"A Little Spot of Emotions","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dalton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3637902_orig.jpg?crop=699,699,x250,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721943259386","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3637902"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33464","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":216,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":73,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":77.2,"schoolId":33464,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Scottsville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Scottsville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/albemarle-county-school-district/scottsville-elementary-school/33464"}
