Those students who have previously struggled to focus, complete assignments or problem solve, are now excited to tackle challenges in coding and have collaborated easily with other students to debug their own programs. Their logical reasoning and mathematical thinking have improved and many of my students are now more confident in expressing complex ideas and helping other students to understand how to shorten or better program. For example, one of my fifth grade students was kind of shy, lower academically, and after working coding for three days, they became engaged and highly motivated to take in a leadership or. helpful role.
