Everyday we have a large group of kids who choose the library as the center that they want to play in first. With your generous donation the puppets were purchased for the story The Mitten. The kids have been playing with the puppets every day and enjoy telling stories to each other. The students are amazing to watch as they interact with each other and the characters come to life for them. We have had some extraordinary students with some speech delays and the puppets have allowed them an avenue to participate with their peers. This has opened up play in ways we never knew were possible. \r\n\r\nEvery year we try to purchase items for the students that are most interesting to them, and this group has benefitted from reading and telling stories, and the ability to enhance their play through the use of puppetry is spectacular. The tree shelf has made a home for our puppets and the books that go along with the story.
