The donations were a great asset in the process of opening the caring closet for high school students and the San Luis community. The community and student have a clean and safe space where they get their basic needs met. For example, weather-appropriate clothing, basic hygiene supplies, school supplies, etc. I'm very proud of the help I received from Donor Choice and my community, it motivates me to continue creating new resources for my community which will impact future generations. The donation helped me to provide a clean and organized space for the students and families.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the donations helped the school to build a community with the SPED department and mental health class by incorporating the students into the program. The students helped me assemble the storage bins, rack cloths, and organize the clothes. The students from San Luis High School contributed to making the Caring Closet a place where students feel comfortable asking for resources. My next goal is to create The Care Counts Laundry Program.
