To the DonorsChoose team, the generous donors, and everyone who contributed, supported, and helped facilitate the delivery of this valuable equipment, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and commitment to education.\r\n\r\nThis printer is more than just a piece of equipment; it is an investment in our students' learning and future. As an English 11 teacher at San Carlos High School, I continuously strive to provide meaningful, engaging, and student-centered learning experiences. Having this printer in our classroom will significantly support these efforts by allowing me to prepare instructional materials, reading passages, writing activities, assessments, graphic organizers, and other learning resources that address my students' diverse needs.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this equipment will help make learning more accessible, interactive, and effective. It will allow students to work with printed texts, annotate reading materials, complete writing activities, participate in collaborative projects, and develop their literacy and critical-thinking skills. By improving access to these resources, the printer will contribute to a more organized, efficient, and productive teaching-learning process.\r\n\r\nYour generosity reminds us that education is a shared responsibility and that meaningful change happens when people come together to support students. Because of your kindness, our classroom is now better equipped to create learning opportunities that can make a lasting difference in our students' academic growth and success.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and our classroom community, thank you for believing in our students, supporting teachers, and investing in education. Your contribution will continue to benefit our learners and serve as a reminder that even one act of generosity can create countless opportunities for growth and achievement.\r\n\r\nMay your kindness return to you in many wonderful ways. Thank you for being part of our students' learning journey and for helping us build a brighter future, one lesson at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1790824070876,"projectUrl":"project/print-publish-and-inspire-a-color-pr/10458414/","projectTitle":"Print, Publish, and Inspire: A Color Printer for ELA-11","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Franco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10582077_orig.png?crop=1254,1254,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1786138270905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10582077"},{"teacherId":8381513,"projectId":10127301,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our students are experiencing business education in a completely new way. The iPad have transformed traditional lessons into engaging, hands-on learning experiences that help students better understand real-world business concepts.\r\n\r\nWith this technology, students can create digital portfolios to showcase their work, develop professional marketing projects, and participate in immersive business simulations that mirror authentic workplace situations. Instead of simply reading about entrepreneurship, marketing, and management, students can interact with these concepts in a visual and meaningful way, making learning more memorable and impactful.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously hesitant to participate in class discussions have particularly benefited from this technology. These learners have found confidence through digital project creation and visual presentations, allowing them to demonstrate their understanding in new ways. Students who are interested in technology, design, and entrepreneurship have especially embraced the AR tools, often taking leadership roles during group activities and helping their peers navigate the technology.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, students are developing critical 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and digital literacy. More importantly, they are gaining a deeper understanding of business concepts while preparing for future college and career opportunities. The classroom decoration materials have helped me create dedicated spaces for physics concepts, student work, and learning resources. I am also using the materials to create visual displays that students can refer to while learning topics such as motion, forces, waves, and energy.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were excited to see that our classroom was changing into a more colorful and interesting learning space. Some students immediately noticed the new displays and asked questions about the different physics items. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement about the classroom they spend so much time in.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building our Physics learning environment while connecting the classroom displays to our current lessons. Students will use the visual resources as they participate in hands-on activities, labs, and group challenges. I am especially excited to see students taking more ownership of the classroom and recognizing that physics is not just something they read about—it is something they can see, explore, and experience every day. They worked in teams, experimenting with angles and reflections, adjusting their setups through trial and error. Watching them collaborate, problem-solve, and celebrate when they finally aligned the beam perfectly was incredible. We also used the tape and other materials to design egg lander devices, challenging students to protect an egg from breaking when dropped. Their creativity really shined as they tested, revised, and improved their designs.\r\nThe excitement was immediate and contagious students were eager to dive in and explore. Even students who are typically more reserved became active participants, offering ideas and helping their peers. The hands-on nature of these activities made learning feel meaningful and fun, while also reinforcing important concepts in science and engineering.\r\nWe're also beginning a new unit where students will do other hands-on activities using same or different materials to investigate light, motion, and force in more complex ways. Thanks to your generosity, my students are not just learning science—they're thinking like scientists and engineers every day.","fullyFundedDate":1766576000629,"projectUrl":"project/from-quiet-to-curious-building-engageme/9847704/","projectTitle":"From Quiet to Curious: Building Engagement Through Hands-On Physics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Babu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8362355"},{"teacherId":8364226,"projectId":9914874,"letterContent":"A Calming Corner in a high school classroom provides students with a dedicated space to manage stress and regulate emotions, which is especially important during adolescence when social, academic, and personal pressures are high. By offering tools such as floor cushions and mindfulness resources, students can develop emotional awareness and resilience, supporting both their mental health and overall well-being.\r\n\r\nIn addition to emotional support, the Calming Corner offers resources that help students plan for their future. Books on post-secondary education, trade schools, and career paths allow students to explore options, set goals, and make informed decisions about life after high school. Having access to these materials encourages self-directed learning and goal-setting, helping students take ownership of their education and long-term aspirations.\r\n\r\nUp-to-date technology, such as laptops or educational software, further enhances the learning experience. Students can access interactive tools, conduct research efficiently, and complete digital projects, preparing them for college and career success in a technology-driven world.
