Late at night I study and prepare for lessons in my home office because the quiet environment helps me focus deeply on the material. Donated texts serve as vital instructional instruments in my teaching space by providing structure and depth to my Law and HR/Management classes at our high school Business Academy.\r\n\r\nThe new resources have allowed me to teach students more challenging and applicable subjects such as employment law along with contract analysis and workplace ethics as well as strategic HR decision-making. The donated materials showcase real-world case studies as a key feature. Students use these materials to expand beyond theoretical knowledge through critical thinking exercises and collaborative problem-solving discussions. Students experience practical applications of law and HR through active practice.\r\n\r\nThe unit on employment discrimination produced one of my most cherished classroom moments. I assigned students into groups to examine a legal issue from a case study in the new law textbook and directed them to role-play HR professionals who propose solutions. The usually silent student delivered an assured explanation of the Civil Rights Act's workplace implications while her team created an insightful diversity training plan. The moment when my students demonstrated their grasp of professional terminology while taking control of their education confirmed the vital importance of these teaching materials.\r\n\r\nYour support has turned my classroom into an environment where future business leaders learn content while simultaneously developing practical skills and confidence to use their knowledge effectively. The texts I use significantly improved my teaching methods and changed my students' self-perception in the business field. Your trust in both them and myself means everything.","fullyFundedDate":1746786078532,"projectUrl":"project/building-future-business-leaders-essent/9298159/","projectTitle":"Building Future Business Leaders: Essential Texts for Law & HR/Management","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Godinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9062716_orig.jpg?crop=1439,1439,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689135237463","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/g-dog"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46162","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1007,"numTeachers":46,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"21.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.4,"schoolId":46162,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Samuel W Wolfson High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Samuel W Wolfson High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/duval-county-public-schools/samuel-w-wolfson-high-school/46162"}
