My students are using their new binders to keep their work, notes, and important materials organized and easily accessible throughout the school year. Having a designated place for their materials has helped them take more ownership of their learning and stay organized.\r\n\r\nThe candy has been a HUGE hit! We use our candy jar as a classroom reward system to recognize students for positive behavior, hard work, meeting goals, and going above and beyond. My students were so excited when they saw the new candy and immediately started talking about what they could do to earn a piece. It has become a fun little motivation that helps us celebrate their successes.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments has been seeing students proudly organize their new binders and take responsibility for keeping up with their own materials. These may seem like simple supplies, but they have helped create a classroom where students feel prepared, motivated, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will continue using their binders as we work through our math lessons, building their collection of notes and examples that they can refer back to throughout the year. We will also continue using our candy jar to celebrate classroom and individual accomplishments.
