Puzzles are great for problem solving as they are self correcting if the piece doesn't fit. \r\nThere were lots of \"I can try again. Don't worry let me help. That looks great. You really focused. The room buzzed with excitement as the students gathered in groups, eager to discover what was inside. The moment they reached in and realized they were building with Minecraft, the room absolutely exploded with joy!\r\nAfter some initial exploration, the students collaborated to sketch out their building plans. As they constructed their designs, they naturally embraced the engineering process—making real-time revisions to shapes and structures. Some groups even completely disassembled their projects near completion to pivot to a better idea.\r\nTo wrap up, the children took a \"museum walk\" to view and critique each other's work. These Kindergarteners have used them every day since we added everything together. \r\nYesterday we read \"Stone Soup\", talked about what we are thankful for and discussed Thanksgiving meals. The students brought their discussions right into sensory box play. They made soups with the rice, the gems and the scoops. They shared and traded items for gifts for each other.
