Because of your support, my students now have access to foundational reading skills games and nonfiction decodable readers that we are using daily in our classroom. During literacy centers, students rotate through the games to practice phonics, sight words, and fluency in fun and engaging ways. The nonfiction decodables are being used in small reading groups, where students work on blending sounds and reading with accuracy while also learning exciting new information. These materials have quickly become an important part of our reading instruction.\r\n\r\nThe reading skills games have helped my students build confidence in areas that were once frustrating for them. For example, when playing a phonics matching game, students are not only practicing their decoding skills but also collaborating with their peers and supporting each other's learning. The nonfiction decodable readers have opened up new opportunities for discussion and inquiry. These resources are sparking curiosity and building stronger reading foundations at the same time.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students tools that make learning to read both effective and enjoyable. Because of your support, my second-grade English Language Learners now have wobble seats, wobble cushions, and wobble feet as flexible seating options in our small group classroom. These items have already made a huge difference for my students, especially those with attention and hyperactivity challenges. Before these items arrived, many students struggled to stay comfortable in traditional chairs. They often tipped their chairs, sat in their legs, or moved constantly in ways that distracted them from learning. Now, this simple change has improved focus, participation, and overall learning. \r\n\r\nOne fun part of our routine is using number sticks to randomize the order in which students select their seats. They love the excitement of seeing whose number will be called next, and it has helped keep the process fair. Even with the random order, each child is figuring out which seating option works best for them and learning to voice their needs. One student prefers the wobble cushion for gentle movement while another always picks the wobble stool because it helps them concentrate. This self-awareness is building confidence and independence. \r\n\r\nSmall group time has also become something students look forward to. They are excited to come to class, choose a seat, and dive into learning. Instead of constant fidgeting, I now see eager hands raised, focused eyes, and enthusiatic participation.
