With your support, students now have access to professional-grade cameras, audio gear, and editing software—tools that allow them to move beyond basic familiarity with technology and begin working at a professional level. This hands-on experience is building both their technical skills and their understanding of the complete filmmaking process, from planning and shooting to post-production.\r\n\r\nThe new equipment has brought a noticeable energy to the classroom. Students are eager to take the lead on filming projects, experiment with camera techniques, and see their work come together in the editing suite. For many, this is their first real opportunity to work with the same technology used in the industry, and it's raising their expectations for what they can achieve.\r\n\r\nYour investment is making a direct, measurable impact. Students are producing higher-quality work, collaborating more effectively, and thinking critically about how to tell a story through film. My students were excited and overjoyed to receive their classroom set of dictionaries.\r\n\r\nThis project was used with a classroom of first graders, I was able to introduce them to what a dictionary is and how to use a dictionary. With the technology rapidly growing our students aren't as equipped to use material such as dictionaries or a thesaurus, because they can just goggle most things on the internet. I wanted to make sure that my scholars were equipped to not only use technology but to use other resources as well.\r\n\r\nAfter I introduced my scholars to what a dictionary is and how it is used, they were then able to use the dictionary to look up the meaning of words that they had little knowledge of. They were also able to search for words in alphabetical order and write the definition of weekly vocabulary words. These dictionaries really helped to increase the reading stamina of some of the top scholars in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1738179235457,"projectUrl":"project/diving-into-learning-with-dictionaries/9034111/","projectTitle":"Diving into learning with Dictionaries!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lowe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6442193_orig.jpg?crop=1196,1196,x0,y590&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1641515547712","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6442193"},{"teacherId":9844651,"projectId":8987130,"letterContent":"My students were very grateful for the books they received.
