We used this money to buy drum heads, a mat and other musical instruments. The students feel the care and support from you.\r\nThe choir/band room is a very safe space. Many students hand out here before school, after school and at lunch. They are able to explore music in different ways. It helps develop creativity, exploration and bonds them with others. The social benefit we received from this donation has been an added bonus.\r\nStudents know that if they are having a difficult day, they can come to the choir/band room and not feel judged. They bond with each other, enjoy making music or listening to others, and support each other. We are in the middle of winter so it's not too sunny yet, but we did go out and play one afternoon. We will get more use from these games in the spring when we defrost. Our students are excited to have some games to play when we have tailgate parties, spring fling, student council activities and FBLA activities.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students a positive outlet, especially when they are feeling a little down or out of sorts. Having physical activities to do can really change a person's endorphins and help with their moods. Teaching our students positive ways to handle their stress and feelings will be a useful skill throughout their lives.\r\n\r\nThank you for caring about our students enough to donate to our school.
