My students have been using the materials to participate in more hands-on, student-centered learning activities that encourage them to read closely, collaborate, ask questions, and think critically about the topics we are studying. One of my favorite moments was watching students immediately begin exploring the new materials and talking with one another about how we could use them in class. Their excitement was noticeable, and it helped create a sense that these were resources that belonged to them and would make our learning more engaging.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the materials, I have been able to give students more opportunities to take ownership of their learning rather than simply listening to a lecture or completing a traditional worksheet. Students are using the resources during individual work, small-group activities, and larger class discussions, and they have helped me provide different ways for students to access challenging content.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue incorporating these materials into upcoming units and projects. Students will be using them to investigate new topics, analyze evidence, collaborate with classmates, and ultimately demonstrate what they have learned through projects and discussions. I am incredibly grateful to the donors who helped make these opportunities possible.
