The kids practiced hard, created beautiful set pieces and costumes, and learned so much about responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. The fidgets have been a great tool for students that I work with to calm down and regulate their emotions. They are more quickly able to return to class and continue working their best. The sets of Little Spot books will be a great asset for me to provide support in the classroom with unique and fun stories and valuable lessons. The different lights have helped change the ambiance in my office and creates a more calm and comfortable environment. \r\n\r\nThe biggest shock to me has been the use of the chess board with students. I have been surprised to find out that so many young students still know how to play the game. And a couple students who have a hard time sitting still and staying focused have been able to sit quietly and focus for entire chess games. This has created new opportunities for conversations with these students.\r\n\r\nI look forward to using the other curriculum and workbook activities with students in the future.
