Through student-led mindfulness and yoga practices grounded in Trauma-Informed Methods, our classroom has become a calmer, more connected space. Students are learning to pause, breathe, and reset — skills that matter just as much at home as they do at school, especially for families still rebuilding after the fires.\r\n\r\nI've watched students step into the role of leading breathing exercises and simple movement for their peers, building confidence and a sense of ownership over their own wellbeing. That kind of student leadership doesn't happen without the resources you provided.\r\n\r\nThe impact doesn't stop in the classroom. The same supplies are going out into the community on September 26th, when go to Loma Alta Park for the \"I AM... My students were so happy. My students have been obsessed with graphic novels. However, my students have shifted to read the Best Bad Babysitters. Eventhough I teach second to fifth grade, some of my readers are beginning to read. We have a large population of spanish speakers. The Pigeon Book set has encourage my student's to read in English. The teachers have used the Old Lady books in their class to teach about social emotional learning. \r\nMy students have been inspired to read more and more. My second grader, Ale, is almost finished with all the Pigeon Books. The Hale series has gotten my Zac to start reading again. He loves books, but he went through a reading slump. I'm probably going to need another set of Hooky books. It has become the most circulated series of my library.
