I was blown away by their success on our past two math unit assessments and I know the whiteboards and the engagement related to it had a lot to do with that. They love to find a carpet circle to sit on as they explore mental math in number talks. Students are at ease as they know exactly what to expect thanks to my schedule cards. And students of all ability levels are having so much success with the wooden math puzzles. I have seen their confidence increase just from time spent with those manipulatives.
