When they saw the magni-tiles and Legos, students were already discussing the types of buildings they would be able to create. Instantly, they became mini architects, drawing plans and discussing structure amongst themselves. Some shared why their building would need a wide base, or why their building might topple if it was too tall and narrow. \r\n\r\nWe have been on rainy day schedule for an entire week. Grade levels above kindergarten are not provided with hands on materials that students can use to create and build with. Many classes are forced to give students computer games to play with. I try my best to provide learning environments that encourage creativity. I was extremely pleased to see many students choose to step away from their computer games for rainy day recess, and opt to build at our magnetic tiles and Lego stations. \r\n\r\nWe are beyond grateful for your generosity.
