For many of my students with special needs, hunger can quickly turn into frustration, shutdown, or difficulty concentrating. Having snacks available has helped prevent meltdowns, improve attention during lessons, and support smoother transitions throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the snacks, their eyes lit up. They felt cared for. They felt important. For some of them, it wasn't just about food, it was about knowing someone out there believes in them.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these snacks will continue to support our daily routines, behavior goals, and academic growth. We are currently working on improving reading comprehension, independent task completion, and social skills during group activities.
